Diller Canyon

Diller Canyon is the wide V-shaped canyon on the west slope of Shastina. It is believed to be the result of of hot avalanches which occured during the Holocene. Diller Canyon was named after J. S. Diller who studied Mount Shasta for the USGS in the late 1800s.
