Caracol The
Caracol The Caracol at Chichen Itza is located in the Classic Sector of the city. It is one of a few round towers found in the Maya region. The remains of another round structure is to be found at Mayapan. The tower was probably used as an observatory, much like the tower in the Palace at Palenque.
