The Ball Court at Chichen Itza is the largest in Mesoamerica. The walls are 272 feet long. The playing area is longer than that by about 30 feet on each end. Overlooking the playing field (visible in the center of the photo above) is the Temple of the Jaguar. The interior walls have fragments of murals. At each end of the ball court are minor temples. Both have remains of bas relief carvings.
